Fabiola was born and raised in San Jose. After graduating from Yerba Buena High School, she attended Cal State East Bay and received her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Sexuality and Gender Studies.
Fabiola has spent her career working to improve the quality of life for people through education. She previously worked as a health educator for Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, teaching students and parents about reproductive health. She also spent time as an adult educator at Elmwood Correctional Facility teaching incarcerated men addiction recovery courses and life skills. Most recently, Fabiola was with ACE Charter Schools where she worked closely with first-generation, low-income students and their families in East San Jose.
Fabiola comes to Breakthrough Silicon Valley with a passion for helping families navigate systems that lack equity and is committed to supporting student growth in order to increase their opportunities for attaining a college degree. She strongly believes building relationships with students and families is of the utmost importance and looks forward to working with all of our Breakthrough families.
