Karen Camacho

Middle School Program Coordinator

As a product of the Franklin-McKinley School District (FMSD) and a first generation college student, Karen is committed to instilling a love of learning in middle school students. Karen was a Breakthrough teaching fellow during Summer 2015 when she taught 7th grade Writing and 8th grade Creative Writing. While a student at San Jose State University, she was a Breakthrough Leadership Intern, a position that offered her the opportunity to work closely with Breakthrough students and their families. Both of these roles allowed her to understand the importance of providing a well-rounded support system for students to help them thrive. As Middle School Program Coordinator, Karen oversees the 7th and 8th graders and their programming at our FMSD site.
