Karen Camacho

Middle School Program Coordinator

As a product of the Franklin McKinley School District and a first generation college student, Karen is committed to instilling a love of learning in middle school students. Karen was a Breakthrough teaching fellow during Summer 2015 when she taught 7th grade Writing and 8th grade Creative Writing. While a student at San Jose State University, she was a  Breakthrough Leadership Intern, a position that offered her the opportunity to work closely with Breakthrough students and their families. Both of these roles allowed her to understand the importance of providing a well-rounded support system for students to help them thrive. Now, as Middle School Program Coordinator, Karen serves as case manager for 7th and 8th graders and coordinates programming for middle school students.
