Rebeca was born and raised in the Bay Area and received her bachelor’s degree in Urban and Environmental Policy from Occidental College. While in college, she spent multiple summers working with high school juniors around college access and decided to change her career path to college counseling, going on to obtain a certificate in College Admissions and Career Planning from UC Berkeley.

Before joining Breakthrough Silicon Valley, Rebeca worked as a College Advisor at City Arts & Tech High School in San Francisco. As a first-generation student herself, she is excited to help all students navigate the college application process and access the many opportunities available to them.
